CEACA – Aged Housing
A partnership of 11 Councils including the Shire of Westonia called the Central Eastern Aged Care Alliance (CEACA) was formed in 2012. In partnership with the Wheatbelt Development Commission and Regional Development Australia Wheatbelt, CEACA has embarked upon a 6 year program to construct 187 dwellings across the 11 Shires to meet the need for senior’s accommodation.
The Shire of Westonia has identified Aged Housing encompassing “Aging in Place” as a major priority over the next ten to fifteen years with the onset of the “Baby Boomer” generation approaching retirement age. The Shire through the CEACA initiative (Central East Aged Care Alliance), engaged the services of Verso Consulting to develop the Central East Aged Care Regional Solution for the Wheatbelt
The CEACA Aged Housing Precinct is a ‘tree change’ for the over 60’s seeking independent living in peaceful surrounds with all the services and facilities of town at close proximity. The CEACA Aged Housing Precinct has been designed with a real sense of community in mind.
The CEACA Aged Housing Precinct is fresh and new. A very exciting prospect for those wanting to move into a more “manageable” residence, closer to services, friends and amenities.
